The implementation upgrades the client’s inbound and outbound RFID infrastructure at its Bangkok facility, strengthening operational reliability across a high-volume logistics environment.
The Challenge
The client’s existing RFID gantry infrastructure had reached the end of its operational life, and years of rising inbound and outbound transaction volumes had begun to expose its limits. Legacy readers struggled to capture tag reads consistently and reliably, while data synchronization between the RFID system and other enterprise systems was inconsistent creating delays and discrepancies in operational data. With hardware was already approaching end-of-life and replacement components and technical support was a big challenge, maintenance had become more complex, time-consuming, and costly, putting continuity of operations at risk.
The Solution
SCMProFit led a complete modernization of the client’s RFID gantry setup, replacing outdated hardware with the latest Zebra RFID devices for improved performance, reliability, and security. A new RFID scanning application is purpose-built to capture, process, and manage tag scans from the gantry, and the solution was fully integrated with the client’s existing operational systems to enable seamless, automated data flow across the transaction lifecycle.
